Our vibrant community comprises 250 families living in the Lower Mainland. We are a collective of families with strong ties to the Provinces of Bihar and Jharkhand in India, united by a common agenda to celebrate and uphold our rich Culture and Traditions in British Columbia.

Cultural Celebrations & Events

Chhath Festival

October - November (Falls six days after Diwali)

Chhath is a profound emotional and religious connection for all of us. During this festival, mothers observe a challenging three-day fast (abstaining from food and water) for the well-being and prosperity of their loved ones.

Saraswati Puja

January - February (Vasant Panchami)

This event is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge, language, music, and all arts. She symbolizes creative energy and power in all its forms, including longing and love.

Summer Picnic

July - August (Community Fun)

A wonderful opportunity for families across the Lower Mainland to gather, connect, and enjoy a day of friendship, food, and fun outdoors, strengthening our community bonds.
